PUBG MOBILE Review
PUBG MOBILE is a mobile spin-off from the popular PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS PC game. It was released in 2017, and now you can download PUBG MOBILE for free on Android, iOS, and several other mobile platforms.
Gameplay: Careful Adaptation
PUBG MOBILE is the mobile version of the original game. It has the same gameplay, almost the same graphics, and the same core mechanics. It is a typical battle royale, where one hundred players fight for survival on an island. There are several maps available in PUBG MOBILE, as well as there are several game modes for you to jump in. You can either go solo or team up with other players to lead your squad to victory. It is a bit more complicated than an average mobile shooter, as there are more mechanics, which have been accurately transferred from the original game.
Graphics: Impressive for Mobile
It is hard to believe that a 100% PC game would be ported to mobile with such insignificant losses in graphics. It is very impressive how PUBG MOBILE can have the whole island and a hundred other players with such optimization. You would easily believe that Fortnite can run on mobile, but here we have a realistic setting with graphics from a PC game. However, some drawbacks, such as lack of details in the environment and sometimes the textures are not so beautiful. Call of Duty Mobile, for example, is more impressive visually, but it is a different thing, as that game was initially developed for mobile, while PUBG Mobile is transferring a PC experience to smartphones.
Controls: Hard to Master
Controls are the hard thing in PUBG MOBILE, as most of the original mechanics of PUBG are present in the mobile version. The interface gets a bit overloaded with various buttons, and there are unusually many features for a mobile shooter. However, the interface is highly customizable, so you will enjoy the wide range of opportunities the game offers when you are used to the local controls.
Conclusion
There are several other battle royale games on the mobile market, so there is always a choice. We would not recommend PUBG MOBILE to everyone as there are some drawbacks, but it has its benefits. In case you are a fan of the genre, it is free to play, so nothing stops you from at least trying PUBG MOBILE. It is hard to suggest a single battle royale, so you might as well check out CoD Mobile and Fortnite and then choose a favorite one to play.
