Injustice: Gods Among Us Review
Injustice: Gods Among Us is a fighting game developed by Nether Realms and published by Warner Bros. The game was initially released in 2013, and you can currently download Injustice: Gods Among Us on Android, iOS, Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and several other platforms.
Gameplay: From the Creators of MK
It is important to mention that the mobile version is a completely different game compared to PC and console editions. We will be currently reviewing the mobile one, and the first important difference is that it is free to play on Android and iOS. In the game, you get to set up a team of three DC superheroes and take part in 3v3 fights against AI enemies. You are also able to challenge real players from around the world. The hero roster is pretty impressive and features the most popular superheroes of Detective Comics. There is also a set of special attacks and combos for each character, which makes the game pretty entertaining and deep.
Graphics: Smooth Visuals
The graphics are pretty great for mobile devices. Considering the game is free to play, it is even more impressive. The style is realistic, and the special moves and superhero powers look rather cinematic. The music and sound effects are also fine. The characters are pretty stylish, and the animations are very smooth. The optimization is also comparably well, and the game runs properly on most mobile devices. Of course, the desktop and console versions look much better and more detailed, though Injustice: Gods Among Us is still very attractive on mobile.
Controls: Fresh Controls for a Fighting
The approach the developers took at implementing the controls is pretty interesting. You do not have to press any buttons anymore; all the fighting is done by swipes and taps on your screen. It feels pretty fresh and provides an interesting experience we haven’t seen before. The game is worth trying just because of this controlling system, as it is truly a great idea.
Conclusion
Injustice: Gods Among Us is free to play, so in case you are a fan of fighting games, we recommend checking it out. There are in-game purchases, but we suggest keeping it free for the first sessions, as the game is pretty repetitive and has a comparably low replay value. Though it is great that the players have an option to try such a decent game for free and if you are attracted by the visual part from the screenshots, there should be nothing stopping you from giving this game a shot.
