Candy Crush Soda Saga Review
Candy Crush Soda Saga is an official spin-off from the popular Candy Crush Saga game. It was initially released in 2014, and now you can download Candy Crush Soda Saga on iOS, Android, Windows, and Windows Phone.
Gameplay: Almost the Same Game
As it is an official spin-off from Candy Crush Saga, Soda Saga utilizes almost the same design and brings up almost the same gameplay. It is still a match-three puzzle game, where you have to get three candies in a row to complete levels. However, there are some differences from the main game: there are several additional game modes included, which offer some fresh gaming experience. There are match seven challenges, social bingos, and many more. It provides more than 3000 standard levels to compete, new ones are constantly added by the developers. All in all, the experience is very similar to Candy Crush Saga, but might be a breath of fresh air for the fans.
Graphics: New Candies
The game looks pretty much the same as Candy Crush Saga, but there are new types of candies, new animations, backgrounds, visual effects, and many more. There are some new interface elements, but the game is still pretty user-friendly, and the screen is never overloaded with buttons or captions. The sound design is also almost the same as in the original game.
Controls: Still Intuitive
Despite this being a spin-off, the controls have not seen much change. You still have to swap candies to match three of them in a row, and you can still use power-ups with one tap of your finger. The controls are extremely intuitive and user-friendly so that even children will be able to cope with the levels.
In case you are not familiar with Candy Crush Saga, we recommend checking that game first. This is pretty much the same game, but it has less levels, less additional modes, and less frequent updates. However, if you are a fan, but a bit tired of the original game, Candy Crush Soda Saga might be a suitable choice to kill some spare time, as the different game modes will let you enjoy the favorite game once again.
